1. Download SmitRem.exe © noahdfear and save it to a location on your desktop. After you have downloaded the program please open the .exe file and extract it to your desktop. With our experience, when we downloaded the file using Internet Explorer it would automatically default to the desktop to extract the files. However when we use Mozilla's Firefox Download Manager, the default extraction location is Mozilla's folder within the Program Files. We recommend you download the file to your desktop and then physically locate the file on your desktop, and double-click it to extract it.
2. Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode.
3. Logon to your user account. Please note that when logging into SafeMode it will display the "Administrator" account. Please login to the account(s) that you are experiencing problems in.
4. Open the smitfraud folder, then double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts on screen. When the tool completes:

   • Save the report to your desktop
8. In the Control Panel click Display > Desktop > Customize desktop > Website > Uncheck "Security Info" if present.
