Understanding Issues Button within Ccleaner



Having the Ccleaner open you will notice a "Issues" button on the left hand side of your program menu.


Upon clicking this button the screen will change to display "Issue Scanning Settings".


  • Registry Integrity - Verifies the integrity of your registry and fixes several known issues.
    1. Missing Shared DLLs
    2. Unused File Extensions
    3. ActiveX and Class Issues
    4. Applications
    5. Fonts
    6. Application Paths
    7. Help Files
    8. Installer
    9. Obsolete Software
    10. Run At Startup
    11. Start Menu Ordering
    12. MUI Cache


  • File Integrity - Verifies the integrity of shortcuts located on your Desktop and Start Menu.
    1. Start Menu Shortcuts
    2. Desktop Shortcuts


  • We recommend that you leave all options selected so that Ccleaner will have an opportunity to sniff out as many issues as its data file holds. First you must click 'Scan for Issues' for Ccleaner to identify the issues with your Windows operating system. Once it has identified that your PC is indeed needing a "Tune Up" you can view the changes it will make and then click on 'Fix selected issues...'.
