Understanding History Button Within Windows® Defender



Upon clicking the History button within the top of the screen, you will be brought to a new screen where you can see all of Windows® Defender's activity. Here the fields are broken down to;

  • Name - The name of the program or action
  • Alert Level - The alert level that Micrsoft classifies the threat
  • Action Taken - The action that was taken once the threat was found
  • Date - The sate on which this occurred
  • Status - The status of the threat

From this screen you can also view the following screens by clicking the viewable links. underneath "HISTORY";

  • Allowed Items - View or change software programs that you allowed.
  • Quarantined Items - View or restore software programs that have been removed from your pc.
