Sometimes items that have been taken out were essential files. This is a rarity but does and can happen. Should this ever occur Spybot S&D has a function that backs up all of the deleted data. The majority, if not all items are legitimately Spyware and can be purged. To make this decision easier we recommend purging your system a week after running all scans. This will enable you to see if you are experiencing any problems and need to recover anything.
Click on the “Recovery” icon on the left hand side of the program screen. It will then list all of the Spyware that has been removed since your last purged if you ever purged.
If you are recovering any items, simply click on the item that you want to recover and click on the “Recover selected items”. A pop-up screen will appear stating that you “You are about to undo the changes that Spybot S&D has made. Do you want to continue?” Click “Yes”.
If you opted to have Tea Timer installed, a screen will pop-up asking you if you want to “Allow change”, “?”,“Info”, and“Deny change”. You can click on “Allow Change”.
Once finished a pop-up screen stating “You need to scan again after restoring recovered items to have them appear on the results list again.” Click “OK” and now you are finished.
