From Sweep Tab within Spy Sweeper you can conduct and in-depth examination of your system. Please navigate to the Sweep Tab and click the "START" button to begin.
After clicking the start button, Spy Sweeper will immediately begin to scan for immediate threats.
Depending on the amount of free space on your machine, processor, and memory; the scan can take approximately 1 hour. It is best to schedule the scan at a time when your PC is not in use. Also you should clean your cache using Ccleaner to help you scan much more efficiently.
Once done Spy Sweeper it will display the amount of items it has scanned. Along with displaying the total 'Items Found' and 'Traces Found'. You will notice that the "Next" button is now highlighted. Please click "Next" to proceed with cleaning the infected items.
The next screen you will notice is the 'Remove Tab' that highlights the items to remove and hold in the quarantine folder. You can review the items here and decide any that you may want to save from being removed. You can also 'Select All' and 'Deselect All' by choosing the appropriate buttons on the screen. To continue removing spyware from your computer, please click on 'Next'.
After hitting 'Next' a progress bar will appear moving from left to right to highlight the progress in removing spyware from your computer.
Once the progress bar has made it to the end, Spy Sweeper will now bring you to the 'Results Tab'. This tab displays the total amount of items inspected, the total amount of items found, the total traces quarantined, and the amount of traces removed since installation. Once you have reviewed the information, please click "Finish".
Within the 'Results Tab', you can see there is another page named "Session Log". Click on this will enable you to review the log file for this session of Spy Sweeper. When encountering errors removing spyware with Spy Sweeper, this is where you begin to troubleshoot.
