Running and Understanding Ewido

After installing Ewido you may experience it attempting to access the "hosts" file and its attempt to access the internet. The Zone Alarm Security Suite will pick this up immediately and notify you. Please be sure that you grant Ewido access to both.

You can now open Ewido 2 convenient ways. The first would be double clicking on the icon on the desktop. The next will involve using the "Start" button and navigating through "All Programs".

Once Ewido is open the first window to appear will be the main program window.

Here you can "Buy" Ewido if you haven't already

Update Ewido if it hasn't been done automatically

Scan, this button give you 5 scanning options and an option to change the scanning settings

  • Complete System Scan - Scans the memory, registry, and all of the files found within your hard drives
  • Fast System Scan - Scan the memory, registry, windows directory, and cookie folder
  • Registry Scan - Scan the registry
  • Memory Scan - Scan the memory

A great tool to monitor activity and shut down programs that may be causing problems.
